Our own Mark Thompson shared a fascinating perspective on the history of active acoustic enhancement systems (AAES) — and highlighted the crucial role of the acoustic consultant, from defining client needs at early project conception to working side by side with performers during system commissioning.
The day concluded with a rare critical listening opportunity as the auditorium’s acoustic signature was subtly adjusted in real time during a live quartet performance – a compelling demonstration of the impact AAES can have for both audiences and performers.
